Tech experts accuse Apple of ditching unique look

It is funny that since the passing of Steve Jobs, Apple have not had much luck with these so called 'Tech experts'.

During the final few years of Steve Jobs, Apple came out with the iPhone in June 2007 which was a big hit. Almost everyone with a smart phone had an iPhone. Then the iPhone 3G in June 2008, looked like iPhone but with 3G. Fair enough there is nothing wrong with that. Then the iPhone 3Gs in June 2009, just like the iPhone 3G, just a little quicker. Then people was starting to moan that all the iPhones were looking the same.

Apple responded with a brand new iPhone 4 in June 2010 (are you starting to see a pattern here), with brand new deign. Another big hit. Then a year later the anouncement of Steve death on the 5th October 2011.

Then iPhone 4s in October 2011 (Ok this one was a little late but they will be back to normal next time), and suprise, suprise just like the iPhone 4 just a little quicker. People didn't moan because they are still loving the new(ish) look of the iPhone 4 and the shock of Steve's death.

Then iPhone 5 (nothing new there and still not back into regular pattern yet) in September 2012 which had complaints that looks a lot like the iPhone 4 and 4s just a little taller and quicker again. There where complaints that there was nothing new about it, it wasn't original any more.

Now with the new update there are people that are complaining that they have changed to much. People moan if Apple don't make enough change to the iPhone and when they do make changes the same people moan again that Apple made the wrong
changes.

Apple Fails to Keep iPhone Name in Brazil

Gradiente iPhoneBrazilian regulators have ruled that Apple does not have exclusive rights to use the "iPhone" trademark in the country. But the US tech giant has already lodged an appeal against the decision with the Brazilian regulators.
The ruling is the result of a local company, Gradiente Eletronica, registering the name in 2000, six years before the US firm.

Apple can continue to sell iPhone-branded handsets in Brazil. But the decision means that Gradiente has an option of suing for exclusivity in South America's biggest market.

The Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) said that its decision only applied to handsets, and that the California-based company continued to have exclusive rights to use the iPhone name elsewhere including on clothing, in software and across publications.

Apple had argued that it should have been given full rights since Gradiente had not released a product using the iPhone name until December 2012. Apple is asking the INPI to cancel Gradiente's registration through expiration - it is arguing that the Brazilian firm did not use the name within a five year limit.

Overheating Phone from Apple

There have been mentions that the most recent update from Apple for Iphone and Ipod touch (v.6.1) has been creating problems with the battery. It has only been affecting Iphone recently and Apple as saying that they realise that it is a problem and is trying to fix the problem as quickly as possible. The problem that people have with the Iphone and the battery is that it drain's the battery extremely quickly. Also that it causes overheating. Although it's only with Iphone 4S with the update with this problem. Apple is giving no comment on what the problem is and why the latest version is causing the battery draining quickly and overheating. There have been rumours that its because it's using 4G network and it is overloading the phone.

Ipod Nano

I have recently received the new Ipod Nano 7th generation and at first look at it is great. It has a built in radio, pedometer, digital clock, you can play movies/TV shows. There are many devices that are able to do exactly the same job that the Ipod nano is able to do that is roughly the same size at a smaller price range, but the wont be as esthetically pleasing or be as easy to use.

It looks and acts the same way as the Ipod Touch/Iphone but smaller, lighter and cheaper. Obviously it has less functions and you cannot add any extra applications to it, also it is smaller in memory and slower. But what do you expect from a smaller device?

I have to admit that when ever I use the pedometer it would switch itself off or crash after 1 hour. I don't know if it is because it is in my pocket, but isn't that where the majority of people put there MP3 or where you would expect to put the pedometer? For $149 (£129 in the UK) I would of thought that they would of seen this problem and sorted it out. Although I do have a knack of getting the one off, naff device but the amount that Apple is earning they should at least have a stiffer quality control than most.

It has a really clear on the small screen that it has. I would even go to say that it has a better screen then my phone. That is slightly unfair, my phone is already a year old. The sound quality from the earphones which are called "Pod's" are bearable but better than the older sets. Also I think that they are tougher and more resistant to weir and tare. I believe that this is a good move because a lot of people only buy the one and keep it for years, until it completely dies on them. Often going though several headphones/earphones though the life of the MP3 player.

The only size that I was able to get was 16GB but they did give you a choice of colours. Gray, silver, pink, purple, yellow, green, blue, and the "(PRODUCT)red" red. This is a move away from the old fashioned two or three colours that they had on offer which were black or white/grey but giving you a choice of memory size instead.

All in all I think that overpriced but to get that brand into your pocket and the ease of use, I think that many more people are going buy them till the next one comes out.
